At Willow Hills Baptist church, it is our desire to offer children a safe, fun, and living environment where we can help shape the foundations which children can build upon for a victorious Christian life.
In order to enhance our effectiveness in reaching the youth of our community, our children are in smaller, age defined classes. Here, they can build relationships with others their age and be taught through age specific lessons. These lessons are supplemented by games, crafts, and other activities that support the truths of the Bible lessons.
Your First Visit
We strive for our children’s ministry to be a safe, caring, and encouraging place for children. Each child, regardless of family background, race, or social standing is welcomed, loved, and valued. Each class still presents the Bible as the source of wisdom and Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. And finally, each class is led by people who are passionate about ministering and investing in the lives of the children.
How Check-In Works *
The doors to our children’s building open at 9:15am. You may check your child in at the check in counter at that time. Once signed in you will receive a door key to access the children’s building at any time that your child is there. The doors to the children’s building are locked once Sunday School begins.

Sunday Evenings, 5 PM – 7 PM
Awana is a Bible-memorization ministry that runs through the school year beginning each August and ending in May. Its goal is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that they will come to know, love and serve Him. The AWANA ministry is designed to give boys and girls the opportunity to build lasting friendships, establish positive role models, and provide practical life application in a safe and fun environment.
There is a nominal fee of $1 per week for each enrolled child. Please let us know if there are financial barriers. We may be able to help!
Club meetings include three parts:
- Game time provides the opportunity for children to play fun games while learning good sportsmanship, leadership skills and communication.
- Handbook time provides children with the opportunity to develop relationships in a small group while reciting and discussing God’s Word.
- Large Group time is when children and leaders join together for a Bible history lesson that includes worship, prayer, awards and announcements.
