Dear Willow Hills Family,
Over the past week, we have seen the number of people in our community and in our church family testing positive for Covid-19 increase significantly. The issue is complicated by other illnesses like flu, sinus infections and the common cold who have similar symptoms. This continues to present challenges regarding how churches should proceed in their aim to exalt Christ, make followers of Him, and share His love with our world.
After prayer, reflection and discussion among our staff and church leadership, we have reached some decisions regarding how WHBC will move forward. First, we will continue to meet for our Sunday morning worship services at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:15am. While we certainly understand those feeling it is best for them to stay home, we will be worshipping live for those wanting to join us each week. We will not, however, have our other Sunday ministries (this includes Sunday School, Children’s Ministry, and AWANA) for the time being. The challenges created by staffing leaders and teachers, maintaining social distancing in smaller settings and keeping things clean simply poses too many obstacles in this season.
For those choosing to worship and connect from home, Pastor Andy is leading a weekly Sunday School class on Zoom (contact Andy at email@example.com for more information) and our weekly streaming of the sermon will continue to be on Sunday’s at 11:20am on our website, Facebook and YouTube.
We do encourage you to keep our church family in your prayers and please let us know if we can minister to you in this time. And, while we will not be able to see many of you in person this week, please know that we love you and are so thankful for the wonderful privilege it is to serve alongside you. We, as a staff, have been so encouraged by your support and faithfulness in this challenging year.
May God bless you in the coming days,
