Why did we select the property we have purchased?
As we began to look at our options for relocation, the land we recently purchased was not available. We began to pray and look at what land was available. We wanted a place that was not a long distance from our current facilities. We also desired a place that was in a convenient location and we wanted enough land for the church to be set for years to come. While praying, we found out that the land we just purchased had suddenly become available. We asked our staff and leaders to pray about the matter and we took several groups out to see the land and meet with the developers. The land is strategically located with easy access to most of the Quad Cities. The general rule is most people will drive around 15 minutes to visit a church. From this location, a 15 minute drive can take you to the back of Chino Valley and down to the Court House Square or the Mall in Prescott. That same 15 minutes could take you out to Williamson or the back of Prescott Valley. Even more exciting is what is going on right around the property. In the very community that the new facilities will be built on is currently accompanied by some two thousand new homes with plans of extending that to ten thousand homes by the end of the decade. Just imagine the opportunities. Think of the children and teens that we can reach who can walk or ride their bikes to church. Think of the seniors who don’t like to drive far, but now would not have to. Think of the families we can touch with the gospel. It is hard to imagine a greater location in the city for us to continue the Willow Hills story.
